Assignment 10


  • Grace Bender, Anubis, God of the Dead; God of mummification or embalming                                     I learned that Anubis was the God from Greek Mythology that weighed the dead's hearts. 
  • Ethan Buffington, Pan Gu, Creator of  Earth and the Heavens.                                                             I learned from Pangu that he created the earth from a black egg. half of the egg became the heavens and the other half became the Earth. 
  • Abrianna Burrows, Lan Caihe. Chinese deity of Poverty.                                                                     Lan Caihe did not have a specific gender but S/he was the chinese deity of poverty, and the money that S/he earned would often be handed out by S/he on the streets. 
  • James Ewals, Dionysus, God of Wine.                                                                                                During this presentation from Dionysus I learned that he was the God of wine and partying. I also learned that he can grow grape vines on command, and he can control the affects that alcohol has on him.
  • Natalie Gates, Nut, Goddess of the Sky, Egyptian                                                                                 I learned that Nut is responsible for night and day. She is said to have swallowed the sun deity, Ra, and give birth to him every morning.
  • James H- Sun Wu Kong, Monkey King, Chinese Mythology
       I learned that The Monkey King didn't learn lessons that quickly, he was also easily manipulated.
  • Baily H, Hel,Goddess of the underworld, Norse Mythology
           I learned that Hel is not fond of her father Loki and she the keeper of the underworld.
  • Delaney K., Nokomis, Native American figure, "grandmother"
          I learned that Nokomis means grandmother, she is called this because she is the creator of the earth or "grandmother" of it.
  • Keely M, ISIS, Goddess of Motherhood.
         I learned that her responsibilities are to be a great mother; the best mother.

        I learned that Freya is very similar to me, Aphrodite.
  • Megan R, Coyote, Native American Mythology
I learned that Coyote is a trickster character but he can also be thanked for the creation of humans, etc.
  • Savanna S-Amentet, Egyptian.
I learned that Amentet has the ability to rebirth the souls of the underworld.\
  • Maggie S, Xi-Wangmu, Goddess of immortality, Chinese Mythology.
       She was a gardener and Monkey ate one of her magical peaches.
  • Jaskrit S, Krishna, Hindu
He has one weakness and it is the soul of his left foot.

I learned that Odin is very persistent and stubborn.
  • Lexi T, Demeter, Goddess of Agriculture and Nature, Greek
       I learned that Persephone and Demeter had a very strong bond with each other.
  • Alicia T- Loki, Norse.
        I learned that no one really likes Loki , and that Loki likes to trick people a lot..
  • Danni V, Persephone, greek.
Persephone was the goddess of Spring and the Queen of the underworld. I learned that Haites took her to the underworld, she didn't choose to go down there.

I learned that Raven is usually a trickster character. He was very smart and witty.
